Jeremy Tear, the curate in early 2000 set up an initiative to create a web page for our parish. Ben Grantham gave this a flying start in July 2000 with his initial design for the site. Later, Jeremy, Cliff and David, having acquired a little knowledge of the techniques involved, took full responsibility for further development. Jeremy moved to become vicar of St Paul's Macclesfield in January 2003, We have been helped by others from time to time but currently we are a team of two. We continue to keep the site up-to-date and hopefully make it interesting.

Our original hosting arrangements proved less than satisfactory since we were plagued by banner advertisements for products and services not of our choosing and which always seemed to appear over an area of the screen which visitors would probably want to see. Yes - it was in the fine print, but we missed it, so it was our fault!

By 7.30pm on Sunday 14 July 2002, however, we started a new phase, with domain and hosting transferred to Supanames, who were well recommended. They were most helpful in helping us to transfer to them, being very prompt in replying to our queries. We have been with Supanames ever since and there have been no problems that we have been aware of. On the basis of this, we are happy to continue to display their advertisement below.
