Our Duke of Edinburgh Award Centre was set up in November 2015. In our first year over 60 young people enrolled and successfully completed their expeditions - they collectively walked the equivalent of Lands End to John O’Groats and back to complete their practice and qualifying expeditions at bronze and silver level.
Registration is now open for the 2017/18 academic year.
This will be our third year of operation and we will be offering places at Bronze Silver & Gold Award levels
Training will take place on aThursday night during February - March for those who have not participated in the Award before.
Expedition planning will take place from March onwards on Thursday evenings (7.30-9pm) for Silver groups and Sunday evenings (6.30-8pm) for Bronze planning sessions. A full timetable of training, planning and expedition weekends will be available at the Open Afternoon.
Open Afternoon for interested participants and their parents from 3pm to 7pm on 19th November 2017 at Holy Cross Church Hall, Park Road, Timperley. Talks will take place at 3.30pm and 5.30pm.
